WWE: When should Sasha Banks win the Raw Women’s Championship?
After going through quite of bit of drama after WrestleMania, Sasha Banks had to take a well-needed vacation from WWE. A few weeks ago, she returned and delivered on a long-awaited heel turn.
Just when people were losing hope of ever seeing Sasha Banks on WWE TV again, she pulled up and went postal on everybody like she had just got done listening to a Cardi B song!
Press, press, press, press, press! Sasha don’t need more press! Pop up, guess who, b?!
Ding Dong! Here’s that heel that y’all ordered!
And since you all had to wait so long, everyone is also going home with … a heel turn from our girl, Bayley!
Sweet mother of Popeye’s! That’s why the women main evented Monday Night RAW. They knew everybody wouldn’t have any hair left for any other match after that, let alone breath. Oh yeah, we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this story. We all need to see how this plays out.
Meanwhile, Sasha going after the Raw Women’s Championship is huge, mostly because she literally just got back. Now, in my mind, I doubt very seriously if they would bring Sasha Banks back after all that drama without promising her something.
So, it’s really not a matter of whether or not she’ll ever hold that title again. It’s really a matter of when.
When should she win the Raw Women’s Championship? Well, it’s tricky to say now after Bayley turned heel. WWE might want Bayley to interfere and help Sasha win at Clash of Champions.
But, me personally, I feel like Sasha Banks winning at Clash of Champions is the wrong move.
I would prefer Sasha’s future title reign be built up a little bit more before she gets that belt again, especially since she already has a shaky history with that title. Not once has she ever successfully defended it after winning.
Yeah, I know a lot of Boss fans aren’t going to be happy about waiting a little longer to see a title around her waist. I get it. Her losing a championship match after turning heel wouldn’t be a good look to some fans. I understand that as well. But, hear me out.
Sasha Banks is back to being a heel. That’s beautiful and it’s about time. We’re getting glimpses of Sasha Banks from her NXT days.
But she needs a reason to unleash more of her savage side. Yeah, even more than she already has. Clash of champions seems like a proper place and time to give us another sample.
Her next championship reign should be saved for the next PPV: Hell in a Cell!
Remember the last time Sasha was inside of a Hell in a Cell? Exactly! She lost to Charlotte Flair.
Banks defeating Becky Lynch in a Hell in a Cell match and winning the Raw Women’s Championship would be the perfect way for things to come full circle for her!
Beyond that, Sasha Banks could run the Raw women’s division (more than she is already) and feud with whoever.
It almost doesn’t matter to me who she feuds with after Becky regardless on when they choose to end the Becky feud. But, for the love of all that is wrestling, she needs to have a lengthy reign regardless of when she gets it! WWE knows good and well that she deserved way better title reigns than she was given.
And I don’t care how she gets to main event the next WrestleMania. But, it needs to happen.
