2. Randy Orton Defeats Xavier Woods

Two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, The Revival severely hurt Xavier Woods’ knee in a post match attack while Orton vindictively forced the helpless Kingston to watch his friend get injured. Since then, Woods has been absent from Raw and SmackDown to sell this storyline injury.

Now that Big E and Xavier Woods accepted The Revival’s challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Clash of Champions, expect Xavier Woods to return to action tonight on SmackDown Live. Considering that Orton defeated Big E last week, he could be set to defeat Woods this week to keep his momentum going for his big WWE Championship match against Kofi Kingston at Clash of Champions.

1. Sasha Banks and Bayley Defeat Becky Lynch and Charlotte

Last night on Raw in the main event, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley battled the Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross in what the WWE called the “Women’s Champions Showcase.” Thanks to Sasha Banks’ chair attack on Becky Lynch, the match resulted in a disqualification.

Bayley then entered the ring and snatched the chair from Banks to stop her from pummeling Lynch with the chair. When most WWE fans thought that Bayley was doing a moral deed as a babyface, she swerved them, turned heel, and pummeled Lynch with the chair to continue what Banks had started.

It’s safe to say that the Boss N’ Hug Connection is reunited, and it feels so good. With Banks battling Lynch at Clash of Champions for the Raw Women’s Championship and Bayley battling Charlotte at Clash of Champions for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, a tag team match could be booked among the four horsewomen for the main event of SmackDown.

Since Lynch and Charlotte no longer sip tea together and would thereby have trouble coexisting as a team, Banks and Bayley should be the safe bets to win in the main event of SmackDown Live. Maybe this victory will reward them with a women’s tag team championship match against Bliss and Cross.

If Rollins and Strowman can be double booked at Clash of Champions, why can’t Banks and Bayley be double booked as well? Only time will tell, but it should be exhilarating to witness Banks and Bayley deservedly take over the women’s division once and for all.
