2. Cedric Alexander Defeats AJ Styles to become #1 Contender for the United States Championship at Clash of Champions

Last week on Raw, the O.C. randomly attacked Cedric Alexander in the backstage area. This attack hindered Alexander from being at 100% for his King of the Ring Tournament match against Baron Corbin.

Because of this vicious attack, Alexander challenged AJ Styles to a match on tonight’s Raw. Considering that Styles has been insistently looking for a challenger for his United States Championship at Clash of Champions, he could have compellingly found his match in Cedric Alexander.

Alexander has been performing on a main event level since he feuded with Drew McIntyre on Raw. It wouldn’t be surprising if he defeated Styles in Madison Square Garden and was rewarded with #1 contendership for the United States Championship at Clash of Champions.

1. Stone Cold Steve Austin Adds AJ Styles To The Universal Championship with Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions

The United States Championship is not the only title Styles has his eyes on. Last week on Raw, Styles interrupted the original contract signing between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman to make his argument that ‘looking’ at a championship should not warrant a title shot, which is exactly what Strowman did to attain a Universal Championship opportunity against Rollins at Clash of Champions.

Because Styles savagely tore up the contract, WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has volunteered to return to tonight’s Raw, take Michael Cole’s place as the moderator, and make sure the contract signing goes down like it’s supposed to. If this contract signing opens the show, expect Styles to show up for it before his match with Alexander later in the night.

‘Arrive. Raise Hell. Leave.’ That has been Stone Cold Steve Austin’s motto for a very long time, so don’t expect the contract signing to go down like it’s supposed to. He is bound to raise some hell during that contract signing, and it could involve including Styles in the Universal Championship match.

Considering that Styles had defeated Strowman to retain his United States Championship and Rollins and Strowman had defeated The OC to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions, a triple threat match for the Universal Championship would settle their grievances amongst each other.

With Rollins and Strowman battling Roode and Ziggler for the Raw Tag Team Championships and Styles potentially battling Alexander for the United States Championship at Clash of Champions, all three men would have double duty at the PPV and will thereby be on an equal playing field.

If the WWE Universe is down with that star-studded triple threat match, they would be foolish not to give Stone Cold Steve Austin a ‘hell yeah.” Considering that the rivalry amongst these three superstars has been built up for weeks on Raw, this potential triple threat Universal Championship should take place at Clash, and that’s the bottom line because Stone Cold will say so.
