2.) Rey Mysterio

While AJ Styles has been considering his retirement once his contract with the WWE expires in 2024, Rey Mysterio has been considering his retirement from in-ring competition in the WWE this year. This luchador had surgery five times on his left knee, and he claims that the continuous injuries have hindered him from executing his premeditated moves.

However, his son encouraged him to stay in the WWE a tad longer, and Mysterio proudly admitted that his son inspired him to continue living his passion. Now that he is officially returning to in-ring action on Monday Night Raw tonight, it should be interesting to see if he gets himself back in the title picture.

Three months ago, Mysterio relinquished the United States Championship to Samoa Joe due to injury after winning it at MITB 2019. He then promised the WWE Universe that he would come back stronger than ever to win back the United States Championship.

Therefore, it is not too far-fetched for Mysterio to challenge Styles for the United States Championship at Clash of Champions. If this match were to occur, Mystero would have a strong showing but unfortunately lose to Styles as well.

However, with Mysterio battling Gran Metalik on tonight’s Raw, he may not get that title shot until next month’s Hell in a Cell.

Nevertheless, this match should definitely take place before either superstar retires because the WWE fanbase is clearly excited about it.
