WWE Clash of Champions 2019 5 Bold Predictions: Double Or Nothing
By Mark Justice
1.) Braun Strowman Becomes A Double Champ
At Clash of Champions, Braun Strowman is scheduled to battle Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship, and Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins are scheduled to battle Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler for the Raw Tag Team Championships. If Rollins and Strowman defeat Roode and Ziggler to retain the Raw Tag Team Championships and Strowman defeats Rollins to become the new Universal Champion, Strowman could leave Clash of Champions a double champion.
In order to look strong for their main event Universal Championship match, it would make sense for Rollins and Strowman to retain their tag team championships against Roode and Ziggler. However, there are doubts as to whether they could coexist as tag team partners, knowing that they are rivals at the same time.
In fact, many rumors claim that Strowman would turn on Rollins, thereby costing them the match. If Strowman commits to such an act, he would have an advantage in their Universal Championship match but the Universal Champion Seth Rollins would be pinned by either Roode or Ziggler.
According to the WWE rule book, whoever pins the champion gets a future title shot. It is highly doubtful that either Roode or Ziggler would get a future universal championship opportunity against Rollins, so it is very possible that they will actually lose to Rollins and Strowman.
Other rumors have also suggested that Paul Heyman, the executive director of Raw, has planned a monster push for Strowman. This could be a huge sign that Strowman will dethrone Rollins to become Universal Champion and officially battle his former Wyatt Family leader, ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, in a big fight field at Hell in a Cell.
It has been a long time coming for Strowman to finally win a singles championship in the WWE. If the rumors of the monster push are true, this could be his moment to shine and become a double champ. It truly is ‘double or nothing’ at Clash of Champions.
