Five feuds to welcome John Morrison back to WWE
Elias
Elias is a character that many within the WWE Universe have grown to appreciate. There was a time where he was garnering a large reaction night in and night out. For reasons unbeknownst to many, WWE Creative cooled him off substantially, as he became nothing more than a stooge for Shane McMahon.
The time off with the injury that forced him out of the King of the Ring tournament may be seen as a blessing in disguise if he’s no longer a cog in the feud between Kevin Owens and McMahon.
When Elias is ready to return, it would be interesting to see him paired with Hennigan as his first feud back into the WWE.
Hennigan’s original character was based on a prominent rock and roller in Jim Morrison. His gimmick was an exaggeration of what it meant to be a part of the Hollywood elite.
Elias, on the other hand, also seems himself as a music star and famous entertainer in his own right. The former 24/7 Champion has even released an EP that was popular across Spotify. Pitting Hennigan against Elias sets the stage for two men, both of whom think they are the biggest star on the roster, to fight it out for that proverbial title.
Their back and forth would be entertaining in its own right, and Elias has continued to improve in the ring. Before the injury he was delivering more compelling matches in a way that would make him an intriguing initial opponent for the former champion.
