2. Heavy Machinery wins the tag titles

This probably isn’t “bold”, but since Tucker and Otis have yet to win the tag titles on the main roster, why not? Heck, these guys never even won the tag titles in NXT, which is bizarre since the tag division wasn’t at its strongest when they were a part of WWE’s “Third Brand”.

Otis and Tucker will take on Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, who are essentially due for a loss. Ziggler doesn’t hold championships for long, even bringing up his reign with the Raw Tag Team Titles in 2018 as Drew McIntyre’s partner.

Ziggler and Roode are great in the ring, but nobody really cares about them as a tag team. Unlike Chad Gable and Roode, who were endearing solely due to Gable’s goofiness and that one Snickers commercial, Ziggler and Roode are “meh”. They are crisp in the ring but dry as heels, and only a few people seem to take them seriously as tag team champions.

Daniel Bryan once referred to Heavy Machinery as “jokes” in the tag division back when he and Erick Rowan were feuding with them for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, and, well, he wasn’t wrong. But they are GOOD jokes, and they are a breath of fresh air in a tag team division that tends to work well with measured silliness. (Like, remember when the B Team were good?)

Heavy Machinery are here to briefly rescue the tag titles. Yeah, they’re going to get killed by a vicious heel tag team, but let them have this one.
