4. New US Champion

Cedric Alexander and AJ Styles have put together some memorable moments and matches, including a kick-off show encounter at Clash of Champions in which Alexander dazzled the home crowd in Charlotte, North Carolina.

If I were to make a shortlist of the best up-and-coming wrestlers on the roster, Alexander would be on it. He’s also one of the best sellers, story-tellers, and athletes in WWE, as he showed all three traits on a near-weekly basis as the “Soul” of 205 Live. Alexander helped put that brand on the map as a champion, and it’s no coincidence that the show has suffered without him.

As Cruiserweight Champion, Alexander showed he could hold a title with aplomb, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he stole the show on Raw this week by upsetting AJ Styles.

The Phenomenal One has become increasingly arrogant now that he’s back with “The Club”, and while Ricochet put him in his place before, Alexander could really do a number on Styles’s ego by beating him for the United States Championship this week.

Alexander’s had some close calls, but I think this is the match where he gets the crowd one thousand-percent behind him and takes the title off of The OC’s (I hate that name, it reminds me of Marty Mornhinweg or something) leader.
