WWE bold predictions: Brock Lesnar won’t win, John Cena return?
5. More new tag team champions
I think both tag team titles change hands this week, but the Blue Brand’s new champions will be returning stars.
WrestlingInc.com’s Raj Giri recently received exclusive information that Jimmy and Jey Uso will return to WWE programming on SmackDown’s debut on FOX this Friday, and that would be a perfect opportunity for the duo to win the tag titles.
The Revival are currently the Blue Brand’s champions after defeating The New Day at Clash of Champions.
With all due respect to Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, The Usos are the tag team people come to see, and they could really put a spotlight on the quality of pro wrestling in 2019 to a mainstream audience by putting on tag team classics on SmackDown.
The Revival are also excellent in the ring, but The Usos are more FUN both in the ring and on the mic. Dawson and Wilder’s whole “throwback” vibe is great, and an important juxtaposition to modern tag teams, but it’s not going to get the same splash that the Usos will.
Plus, it’ll be awesome to see The Usos return on the huge SmackDown premier, win the titles in an epic match, and talk some trash to the rest of the division in case they forgot that SmackDown will always be THEIR penitentiary.
