4. Chad Gable Defeats Elias

As Randy Newman once sang, ‘short people have no reason to live.’ Last week on SmackDown Live, Elias decided to sing a similar ode to Gable that made fun of his height and imagined how embarrassing it would be for Gable to become King of the Ring when he can’t even see over the steering wheel.

Thankfully, this segment was not randomly booked to merely set up a match for this week. These two superstars were actually supposed to face off in the King of the Ring Tournament, but Elias had unfortunately gotten injured and was replaced by Shane McMahon.

Now that Elias is back from injury, it looks like he wants to finally get his match against Gable to prove to him that Gable should not have advanced in the King of the Ring Tournament. However, Gable is bound to prove Elias wrong, like he has done to plenty of superstars on the roster as well as the WWE universe.

How great would it be if Gable defeated the greatest acquisition in SmackDown Live History on the Fox premiere of Friday Night SmackDown? Since his feud with Corbin remains unfinished due to their inconclusive match result on Raw last week, Gable definitely needs this momentum boost against Elias in case he ends up battling Corbin again at this Sunday’s Hell In A Cell PPV event.

If this is the case, expect Gable to defeat Elias and get attacked by Corbin after the match to set up the culmination of their feud at Hell in a Cell.
