Chris Jericho came out with his new stable and headed down to the ring. Jericho said that his group wasn’t next, they were now. Jericho confirmed that they were indeed a group and introduced each member, saying they were on his list, and Jericho said “Viva la Raza” in honor of Eddie Guerrero. Jericho said

“We the People” sucks and is dead and buried. “It was a stupid idea from bad creative, and all that is gone!” Jericho called Hager the toughest man in professional wrestling because of his MMA run, and how he is ready to fight everyone. Jericho called them the “Inner Circle” and promised to take control of AEW because he was in charge now.

Jericho talked about how Cody was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and how he didn’t like Cody’s family. Jericho said he was going to beat the crap out of Cody, and that his group was going to have a little bit of the bubbly in celebration. Incredible promo.

Darby Allin (1-1-1 singles, 1-2-1 overall) vs. Jimmy Havoc (1-1 singles, 1-2 overall)

Allin started the match by offering a handshake to Havoc, but Havoc grabbed him and went for an attack. Both men then exchanged attempts at pinfalls, but neither could get a distinct advantage. Allin and Havoc continued to attempt to get the better of one another until Allin hit a shotgun dropkick that sent Havoc flying into the corner.

Havoc bit the fingers of Allin to escape him and then suplexed Allin to the floor! That was brutal. Havoc continued to work over Allin’s fingers, biting them, and hyperextending them. The ref kept telling him not to. Allin managed to hit a back elbow in the corner, but he went for a second one, and Havoc locked on a sleeper hold and transitioned into a sleeper suplex.

Havoc continued to work over Allin as they went to break on TNT, finding different ways to work over Allin’s hand. Havoc hit a Japanese armdrag into the corner, and then a suplex into the corner on Allin. Havoc locked on a rear-naked choke, but Allin climbed the top rope and flew off the top rope, crushing Havoc and sending him to the floor.

Havoc went back into the ring and bit Allin’s hands again and got a near fall. Allin did a corkscrew splash for a pinfall attempt. Havoc nailed Allin with a huge left hook and then hit a Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckle, but Allin kicked out. Havoc went for a butterfly piledriver and got a near fall. Allin countered with a crucifix, but Havoc kicked out.

Jimmy Havoc went for the Acid Rainmaker, but Allin bit the fingers of Havoc (in a great call back to Havoc biting his fingers), hit a flipping Stunner and a Coffin Drop for the pinfall victory!

Result: Darby Allin (2-1-1, 2-2-1)

Rating: ***1/2 (3.5 stars)
