Shawn Spears (0-1, 1-1) w/ Tully Blanchard vs. Jon Moxley (0-0)

PAC joined the commentary table, and said he was here to call out the AEW management about how he hasn’t had a title shot yet, while Darby Allin and Jimmy Havoc got a chance. Moxley and Spears started off with brawling, with Spears taking a cheap shot, but Moxley fighting right back. Moxley ate a chop and begged Spears to hit him. Moxley turned him around in the corner, hit 3 stomps, and an elbow that dropped Spears.

Spears rolled to ringside and looked half dead, unsure of where he was. Moxley continued the attack at ringside and threw Spears into the guardrail. Blanchard tried to grab the arms of Mox, but Moxley fought out and drove Spears into the guardrail again. Spears snapped Moxley’s head on the ropes and as the ref was telling him off for it, Tully shoved Mox into the stairs.

PAC spoke about his win/loss record, not just in AEW, but in wrestling. He said that in two years he has only been pinned once. He was wondering why he was in the commentary booth instead of in the ring. Meanwhile, Spears managed to hit a Death Valley Driver into the corner of the guardrail. That was insane.

Spears continued to get the heat in the ad break, as Spears fired up and showed some major aggression. Spears hit an elevated spinebuster on Moxley for a near fall before locking on a single leg crab. Spears hit a tope on Mox, but Mox stood up and hit a far better one to drive Spears to the mat.

Moxley hit a running knee back in the ring, but Spears kicked out. PAC looked incredibly angry on commentary, and JR pointed that he should be because of his win record. PAC said he wants what is due, and he refuses to take it laying down. Spears and Mox exchanged strikes, and Mox rolled back to his feet and killed Spears with a clothesline.

Spears hit a neckbreaker onto his knee, but Moxley kicked out. Spears did his “10” pose, so Moxley hit a headbutt and then hit the Paradigm Shift for a pinfall victory!

Result: Jon Moxley (1-0)

Rating: **** (4 stars)

This match was absolutely fantastic. Both men had something to prove here, and Moxley came across as a bigger star here than he did in his entire WWE run.

Kenny Omega walked out with a barbed wire baseball bat and barbed wire broom, as he’s the Cleaner again.

Omega tossed the bat to Moxley and said, “Bring it!” PAC ran out and hit Omega in the back of the head with the edge of a chair. Moxley didn’t appear to like it, and threw the bat down, refusing to attack Omega while he was down. Absolutely fantastic.
