2. Randy Orton to Raw and The Miz to SmackDown
Speaking of superstars who should forever be tied to SmackDown, we have WWE’s resident A-lister, The Miz.
Miz’s promo heard ’round the world on Talking Smack should have cemented his role on SmackDown for years to come. Nevertheless, he was shuttled off to Raw, and he’s clearly suffered as a result.
The Miz has been nowhere near his peak form on Raw, mostly serving as the brand’s on-and-off again talk show host rather than out actually starting his own feuds.
A switch back to SmackDown would hopefully help The Miz reclaim the spotlight role he held in WWE by virtue of his great rivalries with John Cena and Shane McMahon on the brand.
The Miz deserves the chance to show the world why he really was one of the most must-see superstars in WWE once again by shining on the grand stage that SmackDown will receive on Fox.
Meanwhile, Randy Orton should make his way to Raw as something of a replacement for Miz. He’s a veteran presence that adds an extra kick of name recognition to the brand, not to mention the fact that he has several easily made rivalries that could await him there.
Revisiting a feud between Orton, one of wrestling’s premier experts in mind games, and Bray Wyatt would be a brilliant booking decision from WWE. They not only have the history between one another to make a rivalry work, but also the chemistry between their gimmicks to hopefully make something special.
Additionally, Orton would have his budding partnership with Baron Corbin to work with, along with potential first-time rivalries with up-and-comers like Ricochet and Cedric Alexander to hash out.
Put it all together, and I think there’s a compelling case to be made for WWE to swap veterans. The Miz can hopefully regain his former glory on SmackDown, and Randy Orton can enter into several new and fresh feuds on Raw.
