AEW Weekly Power Rankings: Darby Allin and Private Party on the rise
With another week of action in the record books, our AEW Weekly Power Rankings take at how the landscape of AEW has shifted.
We’ve got two episodes of Dynamite in the books, and things are already being shaken up in our AEW Weekly Power Rankings. We saw huge jumps up the rankings in the Men’s Singles Division and Tag Team Division, showing the power that a few key victories can provide.
Each week in Daily DDT’s AEW Weekly Power Rankings, we take a look at the top five male singles competitors, top five female singles competitors, and top five tag teams. Records are specific to the division, so trios wins wouldn’t count for a tag team, and tag team wins wouldn’t count for a singles competitor, and so on. Honorable mentions tend to be athletes with less than ideal records that have still maintained an important presence and momentum this week.
There is potential for a power ranking of trios in the future, but without titles for them or more established trios, that’s something that will have to wait. Without further ado, let’s first take a look at the women’s division where we just crowned the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion.
AEW Women’s Singles Division Power Rankings
Honorable Mention: Nyla Rose (0-3-0) [Last Week: 5] and Emi Sakura (0-0-0) [Last Week: Unranked]
Nyla Rose slips out of the top five this week due to her absence on Dynamite, but she stays in honorable mention with residual momentum from her attack on Riho after losing last week. Emi Sakura has yet to get a singles match, and hasn’t been successful in tag team contests, but has connected well with the crowd and hopefully we’ll see her long-awaited singles debut soon.
5. Bea Priestley (0-0-0) [Last Week: Unranked]
Another name yet to receive a singles debut is Bea Priestley, but she’s stayed focused and brought the fight to Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. with every opportunity. Despite tag team losses on AEW Dark and Dynamite this week, Bea Priestley hasn’t taken a singles loss and has remained in the conversation.
4. Brandi Rhodes (1-0-0) [Last Week: 3]
Brandi Rhodes had an uneventful week that allows her to slip one spot down the rankings. Brandi’s record still keeps her ahead of others, but another week without a match will all but extinguish what little momentum Rhodes has had.
3. Allie (1-1-0) [Last Week: 4]
The bright and bubbly Allie bumps her way up one spot this week, which largely hinges on her tag team victory on AEW Dark. Allie teamed with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., picking up the win over Bea Priestley and Penelope Ford.
2. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (1-0-0) [Last Week: 2]
If Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. had been anywhere other than number two last week, she would’ve seen a jump up the rankings this time. Baker’s momentum kept rolling this week, scoring tag team victories on AEW Dark and Dynamite alongside separate partners. Baker is the clear top contender at the moment, even after teaming with the champion on Dynamite.
1. Riho (3-0-0) [Last Week: 1]
The reigning AEW Women’s World Champion remains at the top of our Weekly Power Rankings. Not only is she still our undefeated champion, but Riho picked up a tag team win alongside Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. on Dynamite.
