AEW Weekly Power Rankings: SCU rising while champions stay strong
AEW Men’s Singles Division Power Rankings
HM: Kenny Omega (1-2-0) [Last Week: Honorable Mention] and Adam Page (2-2-0) [Last Week: Unranked]
This week’s honorable mention is all about momentum. While Kenny Omega and Adam Page would each need a singles win to push them into these power rankings, their tag team win over PAC and Jon Moxley keeps them in the conversation.
5. PAC (2-0-0) [Last Week: 4]
While still undefeated in singles competition, PAC was pinned this week for the first time in AEW. Of course, it only happened after his own partner turned on him and left PAC to fend for himself. PAC’s record keeps him in the running but a singles loss could knock him out of the top five entirely.
4. Darby Allin (2-1-1) [Last Week: 3]
At AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin had undeniably the biggest match of his career when he challenged Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship in a street fight. Allin pushed Jericho in ways few of us could have imagined, but ultimately Jericho’s buddy Jake Hager made sure there was no title change. Allin drops one spot for the loss but remains strong because of the way everything went down.
3. Jon Moxley (1-0-0) [Last Week: 5]
Only Jon Moxley could cost himself a tag team match and come out looking even better than before. His team with PAC didn’t last long, as an argument during the match caused Moxley to hit PAC with the Paradigm Shift and abandon his partner to lose. Because of Moxley’s still impeccable singles record, and the momentum earned this week despite that loss, Jon Moxley is sitting pretty right now at number three.
2. Cody (3-0-1) [Last Week: 2]
The number one contender for the AEW World Championship didn’t have much going on this week, but that includes nothing negative happening to him. Cody seems as focused as possible heading towards his title shot against Chris Jericho, and he continues to sit at number two with a strong record and a big match in his future.
1. Chris Jericho (4-0-0) [Last Week: 1]
For some people, a win is a win. For Chris Jericho, all that matters is that he left AEW Dynamite as “Le Champion.” Jericho had an uphill battle against the unorthodox youngster Darby Allin but remained in the fight from start to finish. Ultimately it was an assist from Jake Hager that sealed the deal, but Chris Jericho remains on top because he’s the AEW World Champion and “Le Champion” is still undefeated.
