Another Aldis interview

Galli then interviewed Aldis for the third consecutive week. Aldis said there was a “horse race” developing for the number one contender’s spot for his title. He put over a few names, particularly labeling Ricky Starks as a “number one draft pick” before saying that he would sit back and wait until a clear challenger emerges, even suggesting that he could face wrestlers in other promotions. Galli again asked why Aldis wouldn’t let Kamille speak.

Aldis again downplayed it as a “non-issue” and derided the question as “clickbait” before allowing Galli to ask Kamille a question, which she again refused to respond to. Aldis closed the segment by saying: “She doesn’t speak because she doesn’t feel like speaking and when she feels like speaking [Galli] will be the first to know.”

My thoughts: The NWA made the right choice when they put the title on Aldis and decided to build the promotion around him. This was another home run promo from the champion. Galli also stood out once again by pressing Aldis on Kamille’s silence, again showing he has gumption as a journalist without overshadowing the top star. I’m curious to see where this Aldis/Kamille story leads.

After a “Who is the ‘?’ mark?” vignette, Eli Drake then made his way out for the main event. And Storm indeed made his way out to a big pop to tag with Drake.
