AEW Men’s Singles Division Power Rankings

HM: Joey Janela (1-2-0) [Last Week: Unranked] and Darby Allin (2-1-1) [Last Week: 4]

After scoring his first victory by defeating Brandon Cutler on AEW Dark, Joey Janela slides into this week’s honorable mention. He also came up short against Kenny Omega on Dynamite, but Janela has stayed relevant despite some tough losses. Darby Allin slides off the rankings due to his absence this week, but he’s got a big match on AEW Dark for us to look forward to next week.

5. Kenny Omega (2-2-0) [Last Week: Honorable Mention]

For the first time since our AEW Weekly Power Rankings got started, Kenny Omega has broken into the top five for the men’s singles division. Omega began building momentum with an unsanctioned win over Joey Janela on AEW Dark and followed it with a tag team win last week on AEW Dynamite. He finally changed his singles fortunes with a solid win over Joey Janela this week on AEW Dynamite, which was enough to break into the rankings.

4. PAC (2-0-1) [Last Week: 5]

While PAC’s record remains technically unblemished, his time limit draw this week against Jon Moxley did add a wrinkle to things. PAC took his first pinfall victory in some time by losing last week’s tag team match, but he managed to kick out of a Paradigm Shift at the last second and outlast the clock this week against Jon Moxley to avoid a loss.

3. Jon Moxley (1-0-1) [Last Week: 3]

Win or not, Jon Moxley took a moral victory by coming so close to toppling PAC in singles competition. It looked like things were over once Moxley hit the Paradigm Shift in the remaining minute of the match. He covered PAC with about ten seconds remaining, but PAC kicked out and the clock quickly expired moments later. It wasn’t the ending Moxley wanted, but he was still the one standing tall when AEW Dynamite came to a close.

2. Cody (3-0-1) [Last Week: 2]

While Cody didn’t have any in-ring action on AEW Dynamite, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t any action at all. Cody attempted to make an announcement, only to be rudely interrupted multiple times by Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle. Cody had backup in the form of MJF, Dustin Rhodes, and DDP to even the numbers game. The group went after Inner Circle, and a brawl spilled out into the concessions area. Tensions are rising even more as we head towards Cody’s title shot at AEW Full Gear.

1. Chris Jericho (4-0-0) [Last Week: 1]

The name of the game was obnoxious for Le Champion this week on AEW Dynamite. With his tickets in hand, Jericho and The Inner Circle enjoyed the show loudly from their own arena suite. Cody and company brought the fight to them and The Inner Circle stayed in the fight before security broke it up. Jericho has his eyes on AEW Full Gear, and remains the undefeated AEW World Champion.
