AJ Styles vs. Humberto Carrillo

Fresh off an amazing WWE Raw debut last week against Universal Champion Seth Rollins, Humberto Carrillo found himself up against United States Champion AJ Styles this week. Once the bell sounded, things got off to a quick start with both Styles and Carrillo traded the momentum early in the contest.

Back from a commercial break, Humberto Carrillo started to really take control after a huge top rope missile connected with Styles. He followed it with an impressive Aztec Press, but it only garnered a near fall. Styles nailed a reverse DDT to regain control of things, and he looked to finish it with a Phenomenal Forearm.

Carrillo managed to counter it though, knocking AJ off the ropes before he could springboard into the forearm. Humberto then hit a stunning moonsault, but it only scored him another near fall.

Moments later, AJ Styles snapped in the Calf Crusher and Carrillo tapped out immediately. After the match, Styles offered to shake Carrillo’s hand before pulling it back. Insulted by it, Carrillo slapped Styles and felt the full wratch of The O.C. in return.

AJ planted him in the ring with a Styles Clash, and Gallows and Anderson were about to hit Magic Killer on Carrillo when Street Profits suddenly hit the ring and made the save. They sent The O.C. packing and stood tall with Carrillo in the ring.

Grade: A, Really fun match here by Carrillo and Styles. Not only did we see more of a showcase by Carrillo, but Styles and The O.C. looked dominant before the numbers were evened out by Street Profits. This grade includes the match and the post-match segment.

Divorce Court with Rusev and Lana hosted by Jerry Lawler

In the night’s main event, we had an absolutely horrendous segment that that seemed to worsen as the seconds ticked by. In a continuation of the terrible Rusev/Lana/Lashley angle that’s taken place in recent weeks, Jerry “The King” Lawler hosted a special Divorce Court version of King’s Court.

He first introduced Rusev and then Lana, pointing out to Lana that Rusev was still wearing his wedding ring and hoped to reconcile. Lana quickly began laying accusations, starting by calling out fans for bullying her and saying things to her on social media.

She followed this by insisting Rusev was a sex addict who wanted sex all the time. She then said he only did this because he was trying to impregnate her, but Lana insisted a child would ruin her figure and hinder her modeling career.

Lana escalated one more level, saying this wasn’t why her relationship with Lashley began. Instead, she said Rusev cheated on her. Rusev screamed about it not being true, but Lana said Lashley told her.

Rusev continued to yell about Lana believing Lashley, which cued Bobby Lashley himself to hit the ring and the brawl was on. They fought at ringside before ending up in the ring where Rusev gained control and hit a Samoan Drop on Lashley.

Rusev pulled off his wedding ring, shoving it in the mouth of Lashley only to get hit in the back with a kendo stick wielded by Lana. Rusev barely felt it, turning and taking the kendo stick from her only to feel a low blow from Lashley. Seconds later, Lashley hit a second low blow on Rusev before making out with Lana over Rusev’s downed body as Raw went off the air.

Grade: F-, Is there a lower grade for me to give this? This was so freaking bad. So amazingly terribly horrendously bad. Everything about this was horrible. My god, WWE. It’s 2019, and we’ve got this crap.
