Eddie Kingston & Homicide vs. The Dawsons (No Disqualification Match)

As the Dawsons sauntered into the ring and soaked in the boos, Kingston and Homicide attacked them from behind! The bell then rang as the two teams continued to brawl at ringside, with the babyfaces maintaining the upper hand via punches, chokes with athletic tape, biting, and eye-gouging.

Homicide rolled Dave Dawson into the ring while Kingston beat down Zane Dawson on the outside. Kingston went for a chop on the outside, but Zane ducked and Kingston’s hand connected with the ring post. Zane then yanked Homicide out of the ring by his legs, landed a right hand.

Homicide eventually turned the tables but on the other side of the ring, Dave worked over Kingston’s hand. During the match, Cornette noted that The Wildcards were at the interview area watching the match.

While Dave worked over Kingston near the steps, Homicide continued to handle Zane, eventually rolling him back in the ring. Homicide set up for the Da Cop Killa, but the Zane got out of it with a backdrop.

Outside the ring, Dave continued to punish Kingston’s hand, placing it on the ring steps and stomping on it. While he held Kingston at bay, Zane tossed two chairs in the ring. Dave took the third one and bent it around Kingson’s back before sliding that one in too.

Homicide took one of the chairs and wedged it between the top and middle buckles and opened the other in a seated position. He then kicked Zane in the gut and bulldogged him into the seat of the chair. Zane tried to whip Homicide into the buckle with the chair, but Homicide stopped his momentum. When Zane charged in, Homicide moved and Zane took the brunt of the chair shot before Homicide caught him on the rebound with Da Gringo Cutta for a nearfall.

Dave then came in and kicked Homicide out of the ring and punched him off the apron. Kinston, still selling his hand stumbles into the ring and took a chair shot to the shoulder from Dave. Dave then constructed a chair coffee table, which he and Zane suplexed Kingston through.

With Kingston out of commission, Homicide slid back in and fought both Dawsons, but Zane cut him off by driving the edge of the chair into Homicide’s gut and face. He then swung it over Homicide’s back and hit him again in the face before literally burying him with chairs.

Zane then went for a diving move to end it but before he could, Thomas Latimer popped on the apron and hit Zane with the tag title belt! Dave knocked the former Bram off the apron before eating a fist from Kingston. Royce Issacs then hit a fireman’s carry slam on Kingston onto some chairs and rolled Dave into the cover for the pinfall.

Winners: The Dawsons via pinfall (Dave pinned Eddie Kingston)

Rating: *1/2. This was a fun brawl that helped hide the Dawsons’ many, many in-ring limitations. Also, the finish made The Wildcards look dumb. Why did they keep one Dawson from hitting a splash to win the match, only to give them the win seconds later? Did they borrow Roderick Strong’s “evil plans” book? Even Galli was confused.

After the match, the screen graphic alerted us that Aron Stevens vs. Ricky Starks was set for later in the show and that Marti Belle vs. Ashley Vox was next.
