 3. Eddie Guerrero

This man is the most wrestler Mexican wrestler on the list. Eddie Guerrero doesn’t need much of an introduction. A man who has wrestled in Mexico, Japan, ECW, WCW and the WWE, Latino Heat has many career accolades of which to admire.

He began his journey in Mexico, where he wrestled for the CMLL and AAA promotions for 7 years. Eddie Guerrero would then travel to New Japan Pro Wrestling and don a mask. He would be known as Black Tiger and have some legendary matches with Chris Benoit, Jushin Liger and El Samurai. He entered the Best Of Super Juniors tournament 4 times and lost in the 1996 BOSJ final to Jushin Liger.

In his brief stint with ECW, Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko would have the best series of wrestling matches in the promotion’s history. Eddie would win the ECW television championship in his debut match against 2 Cold Scorpio. he would be most remembered for all of his matches with Malenko and moved to WCW along with many others in 1996.

Eddie Guerrero was a former WCW United States and Cruiserweight champion. He was the leader of the Latino World and would be among the many mid card talents held back by the New World Order during his time in WCW. He became very disgruntled with management and when his contract ran up, he moved on to the WWE in 1999.

Guerrero would go on to win many titles and become one of the most popular wrestlers of the Ruthless Aggression era. While being languished in the mid card for the 1st few years, Eddie’s personality and wrestling ability eventually shined brightly. In one of the most emotional WWE championship wins of all time, Guerrero defeated Brock Lesnar at No Way Out in 2004. In doing so he became the 1st wrestler of Mexican descent to win the WWE title.

While he passed away in 2005, the legend of Eddie Guerrero lives on today. He had one of the best blends of high-flying and technical styles in the history of professional wrestling. He was a heavy influence on the career of current WWE performers Rey Mysterio and Sasha Banks. Banks credited Eddie for being the reason she started watching and training to become a wrestler. Eddie Guerrero is the most recognized Mexican wrestler on this list b the mainstream fans. Yet his career didn’t have the same impact on the Mexican community as the other 2 performers on this list.
