5 WWE vs NXT dream matches for the road to Survivor Series

Matt Riddle vs. Roman Reigns

Matt Riddle is a former UFC competitor who even before coming to WWE has touted about wanting to retire Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania in a dream match of his own. While that match could happen on WWE’s watch, I don’t think it will happen any time soon (Brock has his hands full with Rey Mysterio for the moment), but I do think in a prelude to that fight, we could see Riddle take on a man who Brock has faced several times by now: Roman Reigns.

By the same sword, Matt Riddle is one of the faces of NXT who critics rave about having the potential to lead WWE into the future. Similar to how Roman Reigns was viewed in his own days in developmental brand FCW and the brief time he spent in NXT, then, of course in his time with The Shield. Now, Roman is one of the prime faces of WWE as a whole to the point that anyone looking to take his place must go through here.

While both men took very different approaches to get to WWE, they are not too different from each other. That could bring about some interesting story elements to the screen and most importantly, an entertaining match to boot.
