The Dawsons vs. Eddie Kingston and Homicide- Number One Contender’s match

Kingston and Homicide continued to brawl with the Dawsons following the opening bell. As the referee tried to get Homicide to his corner, the Dawsons pancaked Kingston mid-ring to get the advantage.

Zane and Dave tagged in and out to continue getting the heat on Kingston. The eventually trapped Kingston in their corner, but Kingston fought out and tried to tag Homicide, but Zane knocked him off the apron before Kingston could get there.

Dave then tagged Zane in the two hit a double suplex. Zane went for a pin, but Homicide broke it up before the three count. Zane tried a corner attack, but Kingston countered with two elbows, a kick, and an STO before tagging Homicide in.

He ran wild on Dave and Zane, hitting Forever Clotheslines on the corner. As Homicide’s hot tag continued, The Wildcards came out again. Homicide kicked Zane into the tag team champions and started to go up top, but Royce Issacs and Thomas Latimer held his legs before he could get there.

Zane took advantage and hit a right hand, but right after, Rock n’ Roll Express showed up! The crowd popped huge as Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton grabbed Issacs and Latimer and sent them scurrying.

Back in the ring, Zane hit a sidewalk slam for a nearfall. They then tried to flatten Homicide, but he moved. Kingston came in, disposed of Dave, and his a back fist on Zane to set his partner up for Da Gringo Cutta for the win.

Winner: Kingston and Homicide (Homicide pinned Zane)

Rating: *1/4. This made up for the flat finish in the National Title match. Nothing spectacular as far as the match went, but it was more than worth it for the Rock n’ Roll Express run in.

Final Thoughts: This was on pace to be another solid offering, but the final segment may have turned this into the best episode so far. We saw great angles, great promos, and another relatively strong in-ring effort. All of that adds up to another stellar edition of Powerrr.

Final Grade: A
