Impact Wrestling Turning Point 2019: Full card preview and predictions
Tessa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace vs. Kiera Hogan and Madison Rayne
No story here beyond just a showcase of four of the best women in the Knockouts division. With no story to speak of, I think it’s easy to say that Blanchard and Grace win this one. Simply because both women have entered singles title feuds of their own and need to look strong while Rayne and Hogan both lost matches in the last couple weeks.
Predictions: Blanchard and Grace
The North (c) vs. Rich Swann and Willie Mack – World Tag Team Championship
This one is another rematch from Bound for Glory. Well, kind of, since Bound for Glory was a Triple Threat Tag Team title match. Since Rhino and Rob Van Dam are a little preoccupied with feuding with each other right now, we get the two teams who decided to come out of that match still remaining as tag team partners.
Funny enough, The North are set to defend their titles on the next episode of Impact Wrestling against Naomichi Marufuji and Eddie Edwards. And since the next episode was pre-taped, it is unlikely that Impact are just going to screw up their own television tapings but booking a title change on the PPV beforehand. It’d be odd, but then again, it’d be a very Impact thing to do, truth be told.
But beyond that, Rich Swann looks like he’s already heading towards bigger and better things after pinning the World Champion on the last episode. He doesn’t need to worry about tag titles with another title on his mind. So, all things considered, The North retain.
Prediction: The North
