2. Adam Page

The Elite don’t have a winning problem. They have a winning when it matters problem.

After having lost the first AEW title match to Le Champion Chris Jericho and taken a loss to PAC on the inaugural episode of ‘Dynamite’, Cowboy needed a win and he needed a win badly.

Initially slated to be the face of the new league, when AEW was unveiled at the beginning of 2019, Page hadn’t exactly looked like he was ready for that position on the card. While the adulation for his impressive skill set remained, the fans were being lured towards the more charismatic likes of Jericho, Cody, Moxley and Omega.

When Adam Page trotted–get it, he’s a cowboy–down the entrance to face off against the ‘Bastard’ PAC–in a PPV match which was originally supposed to happen at ‘Double or Nothing’— it immediately felt like he had something to prove.

And we couldn’t have been more right with our assessment of his body language.

Page–and his opponent–came out swinging, starting off their tilt with some hard-hitting action in and out of the ring. When push came to shove, Page came out on top between the two contenders for Jericho’s world heavyweight championship.

As of time of writing, PAC has challenged Page to a rubber match on the November 13th edition of ‘Dynamite’. While we’re not sure where that’s going this might just leave room for a potential interference from his next opponent.

With the Inner Circle still running rampant on AEW and The Elite/Rhodes conglomerate, Page can potentially be challenged by one of the wrestlers penciled-in on top of the card. That’s either someone already on top–like Jericho–or someone like Jake Hager who has yet to debut for the fledgling new promotion.

One can only imagine the hard-hitting fireworks the uber-athletic Page and Hager can produce in an AEW ring.

Ultimately, this gets Page closer to his objective–the AEW title.
