Madison Rayne (w/ Kiera Hogan) vs. Alexia Nicole
Start with a lock-up, which turns into a shove from Rayne to Nicole from behind, right before showboating about being the “Locker Room Leader.” They lock-up once more, which Nicole gets the upper hand this time before nailing a snapmare into a kick attempt that gets reversed. Rayne hits a clothesline, some more heel heat, then straight into a sleeper/rest hold.
Eventually, Alexia mounts a comeback, which includes a wicked electric chair drop for a near fall. Nicole heads to the top rope, but Madison flees to the outside. Rayne tries to wave this match off and walk to the back, but Alexia runs after her and throws her back into the ring.
However, before Nicole could truly capitalize, Kiera Hogan (with her arm in a sling) moans in agony on the outside to cause a distraction as if she’s been hurt. This allows her friend Madison hit Nicole with a slam off the main middle rope, before hitting her finisher (a Cross Rhodes) for the win.
Winner: Madison Rayne
Grade:B-
Not bad at all. One of those really entertaining matches that likely won’t leave a strong impression on you enough to remember it days after the fact, but in the moment, the match was really entertaining. Good showcase for the newer talent in Alexia Nicole while also showcasing the great, entertaining heel character work Rayne is capable of as an experienced veteran and (of course) Locker Room Leader.
Afterwards, we get a segment backstage of Johnny Swinger bragging about taking a dump in Ken Shamrock’s bag. That is actually a sentence that I typed out. I went to journalism school for this.
Additionally, we get another hot tub promo from RVD and his wife, Katie Forbes, where he talks about his “responsibilities,” despite being on vacation. All while his wife twerks in the background. Again, I went to journalism school for this.
