Impact Wrestling: Results, Highlights and Grades for Nov. 12
Daga vs. Jake Crist
These two start by trading kicks to the face until Daga finally blocks one of Crist’s kicks. They then trade forearm strikes, then reversal after reversal until they reach a stalemate. More reversals until Daga hurricanranas Crist out the ring, followed by a dive to the outside.
More wild reversals into reversals, including Crist catching a Daga leapfrog in mid-air into a Death Valley Driver!
Dragon Suplex by Daga for a near fall. Jake retreats to the corner and Daga runs after him, but Jake reverses with an Exploder into the corner. Daga back to his feet, but Daga evades it, but he can’t evade a pump kick followed by three kicks to the face. Two count.
Crist goes to the top rope, but Daga catches him with a kick to the temple. Both men on the top rope as they trade forearms until Daga hits a wild hurricanrana off the top rope for a nearfall. Back to his feet, Daga hits a Butterfly Pilerdriver (though Jake’s abdomen gets driven into his knees) for the big win.
Winner: Daga
Grade: A
This match was awesome. Apart from last week’s multi-person main event, this was my first time seeing Daga wrestle and dude, he is so great. Great chemistry with Jake Crist as well. These dudes tore up the place and I wouldn’t mind a rematch in the future.
The North are interviewed backstage about deciding to put their Tag Titles on the line against Eddie Edwards and Josh Alexander. They could not be happier that Marufuji chose a former World Champion in Eddie Edwards as his tag team partner as it will give them a chance to prove they’re the best.
The interviewer asks the golden question: “What happens if you don’t win?”
The North is appalled the interviewer would even suggest such a thing, so this interview is over. They proclaim if they have anything else to say, they will say it in the ring.
