Peter Avalon vs. Shawn Spears vs. Darby Allin

Darby and Spears staredown, before evading a flying Peter Avalon. Darby tosses Avalon out before Spears attempts a roll up. Darby kicks out and tosses Spears out the ring. Darby goes for a dive, but Avalon runs in with a roll up attempt. Darby avoids it and dropkicks Avalon out the ring. He goes to dive onto Avalon outside, but Leva Bates is in his way. That allows Spears to push Darby off the turnbuckle and onto the ropes.

Spears takes out Avalon outside, with a back suplex to the apron. In that moment, Joey Janela runs in to pound on his rival, Spears. They brawl into the crowd, leaving Avalon and Darby in the ring. Avalon runs at Darby, but Darby avoids it and hits a waist lock pin attempt, following up with an Osaka Cutter/Stunner, then a Coffin Drop for the win.

Winner: Darby Allin.

Grade: C

Went a little too fast to get invested in (and when you get three completely random names in the ring like this, I reason to care is kind of necessary), but for what it was, it was fine. Good way to showcase three guys who haven’t had much air time on Dynamite to showcase themselves. Well, Darby more so and maybe Spears a bit. Avalon received much more offense than he offered. In any case, this match was fine. Not great. Not bad. Just fine.

Darby grabs a mic to immediately take up Jon Moxley’s offer/challenge from earlier. “I accept.” That match is going to be gnarly and I cannot wait to see it.

Nyla Rose vs. Dani Jordyn

Jordyn hits a flurry of forearms to no avail. Jordyn ducks a big boot, but can’t duck a punch. But she does avoid a chokeslam and slaps Nyla Rose. Big mistakes.

Poor gal gets clobbered by a clothesline and sent hard into the corner, where she then gets clotheslined before getting nailed with a Samoan Drop and then a Powerbomb.

Winner: Nyla Rose

Grade: N/A

Another squash match. R.I.P. in peace to Jordyn. Press F to pay respects. No, I won’t press F myself.

We then get a medical update on Dustin Rhodes, following Jake Hager’s attack from two weeks ago. We are potentially about a month away from Dustin Rhodes returning to in-ring action, but he still needs to go through injury training in a few weeks.

Tony Schiavone interviews Allie about rising in the rankings to number four. She’s happy to be here in Nashville for the cheap pop and after gaining momentum on AEW Dark, she’s ready to do so on Dynamite.

The interview gets interrupted almost immediately by Brandi Rhodes and Awesome Kong. Allie tries to fight off Kong, but the former Impact Knockouts Champion takes Allie out with ease. Just like they did to Bea Priestly at Full Gear, they cut and collect Allie’s hair. This whole partnership is getting weirder and weirder. I’ve got more questions than answers, but I’m intrigued.
