We get another Question Mark vignette, hyping his debut match.

Then, we went to a recap of Colt Cabana winning the National Title from last week, before going to a post-match interview with James Storm, who said he was robbed of the title and briefly demanded a rematch before reneging and announcing his intentions to go after Nick Aldis and the World Title.

Back at the interview podium, Marquez spoke with Colt Cabana. He did the Oprah Winfrey “You get a car” bit, replacing automobiles with championships, before saying that the National Title was for everybody. He talked about putting his title on the line against James Storm at less than 100 percent, but he healed his leg, heart, and soul and got his title back. He then said that he was a fighting champion who would face anybody.

This brought out Ricky Starks. He circled Marquez and Cabana for a bit before teasing a challenge for the National Title.

My Thoughts: Great babyface promo from Cabana that established how important the National Championship was to him. This will contrast well from Storm treating the belt as a stepping stone to the World Title.

Back in the ring, Dan Parker awaited his opponent, who was the Question Mark.

Question Mark vs. Dan Parker

Parker charged in with some weak forearms that did not faze Question Mark. The mystery man then whipped Parker and hit him on the rebound with a punch to the gut and a blow to the back. He tried a back elbow in the corner, but Parker evaded and got an uppercut in.

Parker’s flurry didn’t last long, as Mark got his boot up, hit a second-rope missile dropkick and finished things with a throat thrust.

Winner: Question Mark via pinfall

Rating: N/A. This was a pure squash. I don’t know if pushing Question Mark as a monster will work long term, but the crowd was into him, so count this as a success. Kudos to Parker for selling the heck out of that finisher.

We get an ad for the RetroMania video game before seeing clips of Thunder Rosa’s MMA debut for Combate Americas. It was a plug for an “Into the Cage” documentary that’s “coming soon”. Back on set, Galli and Cornette discussed Kamille before Eli Drake came out.

Drake discussed Kamille’s silence over the last few weeks, suggesting that Aldos doesn’t let her talk because some unwanted truths may come out. That truth is that there’s one man who can take the belt off of Aldis and that’s Eli Drake.

The Wildcards interrupted Drake and Thomas Latimer told Drake to stay out of his business, which Royce Issacs reiterated. Then, Ken Anderson came out. Anderson said that he heard that Drake was looking for someone with a big mouth and that he knew a guy.

Anderson said that all Drake had to do was say Anderson’s name if he was looking for him before whispering “Anderson” a couple of times and leaving.

My thoughts: That segment gave me TNA flashbacks. Still, it effectively set up a Drake/Anderson match for down the line while keeping the questions surrounding Kamille at the forefront.
