Gable and Roode start the match. The latter almost immediately takes the former down with a shoulder block, then an arm wrench, but Gable counters with mat-based offense. He ducks a clothesline and hits a series of arm drags, then an arm wrench of his own before Roode is back into it with a punch to the mouth.

Tag to Ziggler, but Roode scoop slams Gable and Zig capitalizes with an elbow drop. Gable gets back into this with a tag to Ali, who diving foot stomps onto Ziggler’s shoulder. Ali works the arm till Ziggler gets the ropes and kicks Mustafa in the gut. Ali recovers with a hurricanrana, but that doesn’t last long until the heels get the heat back. Roode stomps Ali to the corner before Ziggler cheap shots Ali from the outside while he’s down.

Ali attempts a comeback, but a distraction from Corbin allows Roode to push Ali off the apron and send him ribs first into the announcer’s table. Corbin and his mascot gloat when Roman Reigns’ music hits and the real Big Dog is out for real this time. He stares down with Corbin, charging his way to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the break, Roman Reigns continues staring down his rival while Roode and Ziggler get the heat on Ali, just as Ali is able to fight them both off, sending

Ali jumps for the hot tag, but gets caught by a Fame Asser. He knocks Gable off the apron before going for the pin for a near fall.

Ziggler tunes up the band, but catches a Superkick from Ali instead. Both men down and crawling for their partners. They both make the hot tag at the same time, but Gable comes in like a house of fire, suplexes and neckbreakers for everybody.

He climbs to the top for a moonsault and nails it on Roode for a near fall. Gable goes for Chaos Theory, but Roode reverses and tags to Ziggler for a Spinebuster/Zig Zag combo. Ali breaks it up, but gets superkicked out the ring by Ziggler. He goes to kick Gable as well, but Gable catches him with an Ankle Lock. Zig Man nearly taps when Roode breaks it up by blindsiding.

Corbin goes to hand his scepter to Roode, but catches a sweet Drive-By Kick outta nowhere by Roman Reigns. Robert Roode runs out to bounce Roman’s head off the announce table, but turns around into a suicide dive into the table by Ali. Corbin’s back to his feet, but walks right into a Spear.

Back in the ring, Shorty G hits the Chaos Theory German Suplex and Ali follows up with a 450 Splash for the win. Gable and Ali retain their Survivor Series spots.

Winners: Shorty G and Mustafa Ali

Grade: C+

Some of the stench from that bad, bad, bad opener reeked over this match and overshadowed it a bit, but these are four spectacular athletes who were still able to create magic in there after following up a stinker. Match really picked up near the end. Those last three or so minutes were pitch perfect and super fun to watch.

Bray Wyatt opens a new Firefly Fun House to say something’s not quite right about his Universal Championship. So he turns into a magician and uses a wand to turn it into a blue belt. “Much better,” says Bray before pledging his excitement for Bryan’s Miz TV segment later. Not only will Bray be watching, but he thinks “he” will be watching, too.

Afterwards, backstage, Roode and Ziggler complain about not getting their spot at Survivor Series, but Corbin promises he will fix it.
