WWE: 3 superstars that need a win the most at Survivor Series 2019
1. Bray Wyatt
The WWE universe was enraged when Bray Wyatt didn’t win the Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell after the match, again a Hell in a Cell match no less, was stopped by the referee. However, some of the ill-will towards the booking of that match was lessened when Wyatt won the title from Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel.
Wyatt took the Universal Championship over to SmackDown and has since found a new/old target in Daniel Bryan.
During a backstage segment where Sami Zayn was trying to get Bryan in his and Shinsuke Nakamura’s circle, The Fiend struck and choked out Bryan with a mandible claw. This planted the seed for what many fans became excited to see, a Universal Championship match between the two at Survivor Series.
The history between Wyatt and Bryan is well-documented when Bryan was briefly a member of the old Wyatt Family before breaking away to eventually become the superhero of WrestleMania 30. Wyatt and his alter ego, The Fiend, haven’t forgotten about the past relationship with Bryan and on last week’s SmackDown, the challenge was issued by Bryan to Wyatt for a Universal Championship match.
Bryan’s current character is struggling to find himself, resisting a return to his old Yes Movement roots while Wyatt is as unhinged as ever. Bryan’s challenge was accepted by the Universal Champion screaming “Yes!” at the top of his lungs many times in a row, sending yet another message to Bryan.
It’s too early for Bryan to win the title, especially in his current state of unknown in terms of what he wants as a character.
The Fiend just won the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel and considering he’s the hottest character going, it would be a crime to take the title off of him this early, so he needs to pick up the win at Survivor Series and see where his feud with Bryan can go next.
