Tegan Nox
You can’t put DA BIG DAWG in the ring for a tag team match without her go-to tag team partner, Lady Kane! Again, if you know, you know. I won’t explain nicknames. What I am here to explain, however, is why the Girl with the Shiniest Wizard and the world’s strongest Chokeslam deserves a spot on Team NXT at Survivor Series.
Like I alluded to in the previous slide, Dakota Kai is Tegan Nox’s tag team partner on the black and gold brand. Together, they make up Team Kick, based on their earth shattering and somewhat unorthodox use of kicks in the ring. While they have been tagging together for the most part, Nox herself has been teased as a future challenger for Shayna Baszler’s NXT Women’s Championship. The way her momentum is shaping up, it actually is not hard to imagine her with the belt one day.
Much like Kai, Nox, too, has recently returned from injury. In Nox’s case, she was a favorite to win the second ever Mae Young Classic tournament, but during a match with Rhea Ripley during the quarterfinals, Nox injured her Anterior cruciate ligament, Medial collateral ligament, Lateral collateral ligament, meniscus and her Patellar. Yeah, not a good day for the Aussie, but it’s been a steady climb back to prominence for her return. A showcase on PPV could be the boost she needs.
