WWE: 5 women who could possibly join Team NXT at Survivor Series
Rhea Ripley
Whether she walks out of War Games the night before on the winning team or the losing team, I fully expect Rhea Ripley not only to move on from the match by entering Team NXT at Survivor Series, but I fully expect her to be the Team Captain of her team.
She already was positioned as a sort of de facto captain for the NXT women who charged into SmackDown last Friday, so it is not too much of a stretch to imagine she’d get the full treatment on Sunday. Not to mention, the last couple months of NXT TV have teased Ripley as the prime candidate in line to finally dethrone Shayna Baszler of her nearly year long reign with the NXT Women’s Championship.
If that really is to happen, then a strong showing at Survivor Series could go a long way in establishing The Moshpit Kid as a force to be reckoned with to not only regular NXT fans, but new viewers watching the PPV on Sunday.
Plus, dare I say, her confrontation against Sasha Banks last Friday was the highlight of the match. Or even (again, dare I say) the entirety of that night’s SmackDown. Seeing another Team Captain vs. Team Captain confrontation this Sunday could be show stealing.
