During the break, Jericho was walking backstage.

He buried Peter Avalon and Leva Bates, mocked hockey, confused Marko Stunt for Brandon Cutler’s son, then accused Marko of lying about his age. Jericho asked what year he was born and Marko said “1996.” Jericho said, “1996? That makes you sixtee… 23. You’re 23. Put a shirt on. Cut your hair. You look like an idiot. Probably have a fake ID.” I lost it laughing.

Jericho came out for his big announcement. Jericho talked about how he was fined last week because of all the destruction he caused after losing to Scorpio Sky. Jericho wanted to apologize as it was not conduct that a champion should do. This was a throw back to when he did this in WCW. Jericho couldn’t actually say the words sorry, so he had Jake Hager say it. And every time he came to saying sorry in the promo he had Hager say it for him.

Jericho promised that he was finally going to get the thank you he deserved next week when they go to Chicago, and he buried Indianapolis. Jericho announced Chris Jericho’s Thanksgiving Thank You Celebration for next week on AEW Dynamite. He promised fun, games, an aquarium. Jericho said “The Champion says adieu, goodbye, and goodnight,” taking Kenny Omega’s line. Hmmmm.

Scorpio Sky came out to a big pop with SCU. Sky reminded Jericho that he pinned him last week, giving Jericho his first loss in AEW. The fans chanted “You got pinned!” at Jericho. Sky said his high school crush called him and they were going out next week because he managed to pin the champion. The crowd chanted, “Melanie!”

Sky wanted to apologize, claiming that he didn’t want to embarrass Jericho. Jericho said he wasn’t embarrassed, and he insulted Melanie. Jericho claimed that Sky wasn’t in his league, though he did say that Sky was a great champion and that the tag team titles were no joke. Jericho said he was going to fight Sky, and Daniels cut him off and said “We need a month to prepare.”

Jericho said “No! We are going to fight next week!” Kazarian said “Well, we don’t want it to be a title match,” because Jericho was crazy about the title. Jericho flipped out and said, “You know what! Let’s do it for the title!” and Sky manipulated the heel into giving him a title shot. This was excellent. Sky and Jericho shook hands and Sky said “I have been waiting 15 years for this chance.”

Jericho attacked Sky and the Inner Circle came out and started beating SCU down. They handcuffed Daniels and Kazarian to the ropes and then Hager sent Sky flying into a Judas Effect! Marko Stunt ran down to make the save, but Jericho killed him. Jungle Boy did the same, and Jericho killed him too.

Luchasaurus came into the ring and Jericho and the rest of the Inner Circle rolled out, except for Hager. Hager and Luchasaurus faced off, but Hager backed down. This segment was incredible. Everyone came across as a bigger star in it, and the heels got over for being evil, and Scorpio Sky outsmarted them. This was so great.

Peter Avalon came out, cutting a promo about dinosaurs, as he was scheduled to face Luchasaurus.

Luchasuarus killed him in less than 10 seconds.
