3. The Revival

If WWE were a normal company and Vince McMahon was a normal promoter — or even the promoter he was in the 80s, for the most part — I would talk about how shortsighted it is to book a match the caliber of Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly vs. The Revival on free television.

But we all know how Vince McMahon seemingly feels about tag team wrestling and its viability at the top of the card — especially if one of those teams embodies the brand of pro wrestling that McMahon allegedly loathes — so putting this match on a random episode of NXT was for the best.

Like a lot of things that have encompassed the Survivor Series build, the pretense for this match was as a wet piece of paper, but that didn’t matter once the bell rang.

The team once known as reDRagon showed why they’re still among the best in the world, but this was a chance for Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to remind everyone of how great they can be when they aren’t getting humiliated on national television, potentially for daring to want to work somewhere else.

Judging by the fans that chanted “Please Don’t Go” at them following the match, it’s safe to say they accomplished that goal.
