From Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin to Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair and so forth, here are some of the best matches WWE put on for Survivor Series.

As we gather ’round the campfire and tell stories around the campfire where we skewer the family turkey (that’s how everyone’s Thanksgiving goes, right?), ’tis the holiday season to determine what we are most thankful for. Well, I am most thankful for WWE keeping the annual tradition of their Survivor Series Pay-Per-View alive and well.

Okay, I’m not most thankful for the PPV. In fact, I am not entirely sure if I can say that I am really most thankful for anything going on under the wrestling stratosphere, but I certainly harbor an appreciation for Survivor Series that not everyone may hold anymore nowadays. After all, Survivor Series once stood atop the mountain top among the upper echelon of WWE’s Big Four PPVs. Today, it’s spot in that foursome has more or less been replaced by Money in the Bank and nearly a decade ago, WWE almost scrapped Survivor Series entirely.

Thankfully, they didn’t. As a Pay-Per-View that used to always be held on Thanksgiving Day, once upon a time ago, Survivor Series has 33 years worth of history and is stacked with a bevy of memorable moments and matches. Whether they concern brand supremacy, tiny clowns, or just two (or 10, for the five-on-five elimination matches) Superstars clobbering each other just to prove who the best of their craft is, there’s a lot to be thankful for when it comes to Survivor Series.

So I am going to talk about the matches from Survivor Series’ past that I am not only thankful for, but that I think are the best in the PPVs history.
