WWE SmackDown: Results, Highlights and Grades for Nov. 22
Roman Reigns, Shorty G and Mustafa Ali vs. King Corbin, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler
Roman takes everybody out on the apron before sending Roode to the outside. Drive By Kick to Corbin on the outside, then throws Roode back in the ring. Ziggler hits him from behind before Corbin sends him into the barricade. Roode recovers to drive Reigns back first into the apron.
Back in the ring, tag to Ziggler. The former Tag Champs send Roman offer the ropes but Roman reverses. Samoan Drop to Roode before tagging Gable, who immediately dropkicks Corbin off the apron. Exploder to Roode, then a Northern Lights Suplex to Ziggler for a two count. He sends Gable to the apron, where Corbin and Roode drive Gable back first into the announcer’s table. Leads us into one last commercial break.
Back from break, Ziggler DDTs Roman for a two count. Ziggler tunes up the band to set up a superkick, but gets Superman Punched for his troubles.
Hot tags to Ali and Corbin. Ali with the comeback spot. After hitting an X Factor on Corbin, Corbin reverses a superkick from Ziggler to hit a kick of his own, then dives on to both Ziggler and Corbin outside.
Back in the ring, Ali evades a chokeslam for a tornado DDT. He goes for the 450 Splash, but Roode clips his legs. Gable goes to take out Roode, but gets spinebustered outside. Roman Superman Punches Roode, and Ziggler superkicks Roman before pushing Ali off the top, sending Corbin into a Deep Six for the win.
Corbin goes to knock out Ali with his scepter, but Roman saves him with a Spear. Suddenly, Seth Rollins’ music hits.
The whole Raw locker room hit the ring from the crowd (shades of The Shield), but Rollins says he wants this one on one between Reigns and himself.
They staredown in the ring. They trade blows while Team Raw attack the other SmackDown Superstars at ringside. Braun Strowman leads the rest of the SmackDown locker room out to help.
As the crowd chant for “NXT” Team NXT enter the arena on a TANK. Nice touch.
Team NXT (Triple H and Shawn Michaels included) hit the ring for an all out brawl. This includes a staredown and collision between Keith Lee and Braun Strowman (which, yes, give that to me NOW) to send us off the air.
Winners: Team Corbin
Grade: B-
Match felt a bit rushed, but had some fun spots.
Overall Grade: B
Some hiccups here and there and not a perfect show, but a very good one. Very good wrestling and, for the most part, very well executed angles.
