Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown vs. Team NXT Tag Team Survivor Series Over The Top Battle Royal

Team Raw consists of: The O.C., Street Profits, and Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Team SmackDown consists of The Revival, RooDolph, Lucha House Party, and Heavy Machinery,: Team NXT consists of: Breezango, Forgotten Sons, and Imperium.

Everyone begins the match with a pure fist brawl. Steve Cutler is hurled over the top rope and Forgotten Sons from NXT are quickly eliminated. Angelo Dawkins tosses Lince Dorado over the top rope. Lucha House Party from SmackDown is eliminated. Curt Hawkins hits a key Enziguiri to Scott Dawson and falls through the middle rope. Zack Ryder gets tossed over the top rope onto Curt Hawkins. Hawkins and Ryder from Raw are eliminated.

Dolph Ziggler almost got eliminated by Fabian Aichner but holds on tightly. Robert Roode comes in to save Ziggler and eliminates Aichner. Imperium from NXT is eliminated. Otis picks up Ziggler and hits a powerslam. He’s going for the caterpillar, but the O.C. tosses Otis over the top rope before he could execute it. Heavy Machinery from SmackDown is eliminated.

The Revival team up on Breezango. They toss Tyler Breeze over the top rope and push him off the apron. Thankfully, Fandango was outside the ring to catch Tyler Breeze. As soon as Fandango puts Tyler Breeze back on the apron, The Revival hit a striking forearm to Tyler Breeze as he falls to the flow. Breezango is eliminated. Team NXT is officially out. Only Raw and SmackDown tag teams are left.

Street Profits eliminate The Revival with a double dropkick. The Revival from SmackDown is eliminated. The O.C. attempt the Magic Killer on Robert Roode. Dolph Ziggler saves Robert Roode from the Magic Killer and executes a Zig Zag onto Karl Anderson and a Superkick to Luke Gallows and Gallows falls off the apron and down to the floor. The O.C. from Raw is eliminated.

There are two teams left: Street Profits from Raw and RooDolph from SmackDown. Dolph Ziggler accidentally superkicked his own tag team partner, Robert Roode, out the ring but thankfully through the middle rope. Street Profits double team Ziggler. Angelo Dawkins hits a powerbomb on Ziggler. Montez Ford goes on the top rope for a frog splash and hits it. As soon as he gets up from the frog splash, Roode swiftly runs back into the ring and tosses Montez Ford over the top rope for the victory. Team SmackDown gets the early lead in this brand war.

Result: Team SmackDown

Analysis: This match did what it needed to do. Very fast paced but nothing too special. This had to be a battle royal, considering the many men that had to participate in this match. This victory for Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler should solidify them as a legitimate tag team in the WWE, despite their random formation last month. These two executed some key saves for each other throughout the entire match and it was very fun to witness their partnership thrive fruitfully. Good pre-show match to get everyone hyped up!

Akira Tozawa vs. Lio Rush (c) vs. Kalisto [NXT Cruiserweight Championship]

All three men glare at each other in the center of the ring. Tozawa and Kalisto team up on Rush and toss him out of the ring. Kalisto tries to pull a fast one with roll up on Tozawa, but Tozawa kicks out. Tozawa and Kalisto then have a fallout and begin to brawl.

Rush gets back into the ring and hits a flying double back elbow to both Tozawa and Kalisto. Kalisto rolls out on the apron for the time being. Tozawa hits a hard right hand to Rush and attempts a back suplex. Rush counters the back suplex and kicks Kalisto off the apron. Tozawa picks up Rush in a fireman’s carry. Rush counters the carry, but Tozawa kicks Rush in the gut and hits a running dropkick to Rush.

Tozawa goes on the top rope. Rush and Kalisto meet up with Tozawa on the top rope. Lio Rush hooks up both men with arms and hits a spectacular Spanish fly. All three men are down. They get up simultaneously and have a pure fist brawl.

Rush rallies and hits multiple strikes on Kalisto. Kalisto rolls outside the ring. Tozawa hits a German Suplex to Rush and the bridge. Kalisto breaks the pinfall and rolls up Rush, but Rush kicks out at a count of two.

LUCHA LUCHA LUCHA! Kalisto nails the Salida De Sol on Lio Rush and goes for the pinfall! Akira Tozawa breaks up the pin at two and goes on the top rope! HA! HA! HA! Tozawa hits a senton on Lio Rush, but Kalisto breaks the pinfall at two. Lio Rush rolls out of the ring as Kalisto and Akira Tozawa share some strikes in the ring.

Tozawa attempts the German Suplex on Kalisto. Kalisto counters the German Suplex with the Salido De Sol, but he was not able to capitalize. Lio Rush swiftly goes on the top rope and hits a picture perfect Frog Splash to Kalisto for the pinfall and the victory. Rush successfully retains the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Raw’s Tozawa and SmackDown’s Kalisto, earning a point on the scoreboard for Team NXT to tie it up with SmackDown.

Result: Still NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush

Analysis: All three men did a spectacular job in this match with a swift pace. This match shows why the cruiserweights should not be overlooked. Furthermore, Lio Rush showed why the rush hour is the best hour on any show he partakes in. Very well done and a great first win for NXT.

Raw Tag Team Champions Viking Raiders vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Era [Tag Team Champion War]

Before their match, The New Day have a backstage interview with Kayla Braxton about their mental preparation for this match. The New Day then transition to their usual entrance opening as this match is set to get underway.

Thankfully, all three men are in the middle of the ring for this triple threat tag match rather than only two. Ivar and Big E seem to be on the same page as they double team UE. Now that UE rolls out of the ring, Big E and Ivar begin to brawl. Big E and Ivar show off their strength. Big E wins the power battle as he hits a key shoulder block to Ivar. Kyle O’ Reilly kicks Big E out of the ring and Ivar tags in Erik.

Erik picks up Ivar to hit a powerslam onto Bobby Fish, who rolls out of the ring. Big E gets back into the ring and tags in Kofi Kingston, who dropkicks Erik out of the ring. Kofi grabs Kyle O’ Reilly and tags Big E back in. They execute some key tag team moves. Big E tags Kofi back in the match, and Kingston dropkicks Kyle O’Reilly out of the ring. Viking Raiders and The New Day then have a stare off in the ring and have a pure fist brawl.

The New Day drive Viking Raiders out of the ring. Undisputed Era get back into the ring and double team on Kofi Kingston. O’Reilly hits a knee drop to Kingston from the top rope and locks in the knee submission. Big E comes in for the save and Bobby Fish tries to stop him but Big E hits Bobby Fish with a shoulder block and breaks the submission. Ivar runs into the ring Big E hits a Belly to Belly Suplex on Ivar. Erik comes in and executes a backbreaker to Big E.

Kingston and O’Reilly are on the apron. Big E attempts the spear but misses as Kingston and KOR dodge it swiftly. Everyone but the Viking Raiders are outside the ring. Erik and Ivar are on the apron. Erik picks up Ivar and tosses him onto everyone outside the ring.

Erik tosses Kyle O’Reilly back into the ring. Erik is now in deep trouble against The Undisputed Era. Erik then counters the double team moves with a key exploder suplex in the corner turnbuckle. He gets a hot tag to Ivar.

Ivar rallies with a backbody drop and running crossbody to O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. He then runs into both men at the corners like a bull. Big E attempts to interfere but Ivar shoulder blocks Big E. Ivar tags Erik and attempts to dropkick Bobby Fish in the corner but misses.

Kofi Kingston is still legal. He hits a double Foot Stomp to Erik. Big E hits a Belly to Belly Suplex to both members of the Undisputed Era. Kofi and Big E then focus on Erik and hit a tag team Double Stomp Powerbomb and the pinfall. Ivar breaks it up, and Kofi and Big E toss Ivar outside the ring.

Kofi flies onto Ivar outside the ring. Big E hits a running spear into Erik off the apron. Big E tosses Erik back into the ring. Erik grabs Big E as he and Ivar hit a double team Springboard German Suplex onto Big E. Instead of going for the cover, they stare at the action outside the ring.

Kofi Kingston attempts the Trouble in Paradise on Kyle O’Reilly. Kyle O’ Reilly ducks his head and Kofi Kingston hits his foot hard on the steel post. O’Reilly and Fish then execute a High Low onto Kingston outside the ring. The New is knocked out cold for the rest of the match.

Viking Raiders and Undisputed Era then focus on each other as they brawl in the ring. Undisputed Era get an edge early on but Ivar rallies back with a flying double backhand to both men. He then tags in Erik for Viking Experience, pinfall, and victory over NXT’s Undisputed Era. Raw has tied it up at 1-1-1 with SmackDown and NXT in this star-studded brand war.

Result: Raw Tag Team Champions Viking Raiders

AnalysisThis match absolutely stole the pre show. Incredible tag team wrestling with three of the best tag teams on the roster. Definitely a must-see triple threat tag match with some thrilling spots and profound in-ring psychology. This pre show was very exciting and it’s nice to see that Raw, SmackDown, and NXT are all on an equal playing field on the scoreboard going into the main show.
