Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan [Universal Championship]

The red light is back, and the Universal Championship no longer looks as blue as it once was. Wyatt then takes control of the match with a series of punches to Bryan.

Bray Wyatt picks up Bryan and hits a front suplex. He then locks Bryan in a chin lock. He bears down on the submission inflicting pain on Bryan and laughing about it. Wyatt and Bryan are now outside the ring. Wyatt charges at Bryan but Bryan counters as Wyatt runs into the steel steps. Daniel Bryan gets into the ring and attempts the suicide dive. Wyatt catches Bryan for the Sister Abigail. Bryan counters the Sister Abigail and pushes Wyatt into the steel post.

Bryan then goes on the apron and hits a running knee to Wyatt. He goes back to the top rope and flies onto Wyatt. He bring Wyatt back into the ring and goes back to the top rope. He hits two flying dropkicks to Wyatt and kips up. He shoots ‘Yes’ kicks at Wyatt multiple times but Wyatt remains unfazed.

Once Wyatt is on the mat, Bryan gets everyone ready for the Yes Chants and hits the Running Knee for the two-count. Wyatt gets back on his feet instantly and gets the Manndible Claw on Bryan but Bryan counters it into an arm bar on the apron. Bryan lets go and goes on the top rope. He flies into a forearm by Wyatt. Wyatt attempts the Sister Abigail, but Bryan counters it into a small package roll up. Mr. Small Package didn’t pull it off, and Wyatt locks the Manndible Claw onto Bryan to knock him out cold, take his breath away, and earn the pinfall victory. Bray Wyatt retains the Universal Championship.

Result: Still Universal Champion Bray Wyatt

Rating: 3.0/5.0 Stars

Analysis: This match was decent. It’s not exactly a match that would take anyone’s breath away, like Bray did to Bryan. However, it continued to show how dominant Bray Wyatt can be and Bryan did a much better job than Rollins did last month at helping Wyatt showcase that by giving him all he had without overusing signature maneuvers.  After this match, there is a backstage interview with Rey Mysterio as he talks about his evolution on the road to dethroning Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship with a steel pipe in honor of his son, Dominick.
