WWE NXT: Results, Highlights and Grades For November 27th, 2019
In fallout from both NXT TakeOver WarGames & WWE Survivor Series, we get two title matches. Undisputed Era vs Keith Lee & Dominik Dijakovic for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Plus, Lio Rush vs Akira Tozawa for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
Josiah Williams opens WWE NXT with a live performance and promo on the brand celebrating beating Raw and SmackDown at Survivor Series last Sunday.
Team Ciampa give a speech before Undisputed Era hit the ramp about going the limit at both shows, though Ciampa says he knows what’s going on. He says WarGames was the beginning, but now is the beginning of the end for Undisputed Era. They have all the gold now, but “the collapse continues” when Dijakovic and Keith Lee take their tag belts. Ciampa promises to take the NXT Championship, but Finn Balor comes out proclaiming he’ll stand in Ciampa’s way of that title.
“Prince, you just met your KIng,” Ciampa fires back to issue a one-on-one challenge. Afterwards, Undisputed hit the ring for the NXT Tag Team Championship match, but after Bobby Fish gets “injured” after getting tossed out the ring. Replaced by Strong last minute. Not clear if this was kayfabe or a real injury.
Kyle O’Reilly and Keith Lee start off. They lock up, but Keith Lee uses the strength advantage, favoring KOR’s arm until he reaches the ropes. Dominik makes the tag. KOR attempts a crossbody, but Dijakovic catches him for a backbreaker, then tosses him around.
Back from the commercial break, Strong and KOR use tags to neutralize Dijakovic, but after tossing KOR to his corner, Dijakovic tags Lee in. He dominates KOR. KOR tries to keep Lee in a headlock, but gets tossed around.
Doesn’t take long for a chaotic melee to break between both teams. They lay out their opponents, then Dijakovic suplexs Lee onto both Strong and KOR prone on the ground.
KOR is able to blindside Lee after the fact before tagging Strong. Dijakovic takes KOR out the ring, but Strong chop blocks Dijakovic’s knee with a chop block. Single leg boston crab. Commercial break.
