WWE: Kane would want a heartwarming reunion for his final match
Future WWE Hall of Famer Kane is at a point in time where he can start thinking about how he wants his career to end, and he has an ideal tag team partner in mind for his final match.
Kane has given WWE fans so many great memories, whether it’s his legendary debut on Raw in 1997, Team Hell No with Daniel Bryan, his run with The Authority, or even his 24/7 Championship triumph this year during a “tour” with R-Truth.
However, Kane’s tag team run with The Undertaker as “The Brothers of Destruction” brings up the most feelings of nostalgia. The kayfabe half-brothers won three Tag Team Championships together, even dominating the Royal Rumble in 2001.
So it comes as no surprise that Kane would like to team up with The Undertaker in his final match with WWE.
"“Even though Undertaker and I had a match with DX that has never happened before, it would be great to reunite the Brothers of Destruction. That is always so special. That would be for me the ultimate thing.”"
That tells you how close the bond between these two wrestling legends is. Not only were they brothers in kayfabe, but Taker even helped write the forward to Kane’s book.
WWE fans, with the exception of me since I take a “break” from these shows, watched Kane team up with The Undertaker at Crown Jewel last year on Nov. 2 when they faced D-Generation X’s Shawn Michaels and Triple H in a throwback match.
It would be nice to see Taker and Kane team up at a bigger Pay Per View than a glorified house show, especially if it were to be a send-off match for the two. Perhaps they could have a fourth tag team title run together, though that may come at the expense of the current tag teams. Conversely, it could bring much-needed attention to WWE’s tag team divisions and eventually put a team over.
Whatever the case, Kane wanting to have a final match by The Undertaker’s side is incredible, and it would be a heart-warming send-off for The Big Red Machine. He’s been an industry in WWE, and it’s incredible how closely intertwined the careers of these two men are.
