WWE Rumors: Get ready for an awesome, first-time ever TLC match
WWE TLC 2019 could finish the year with a bang, especially if this rumored Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match takes place at the Target Center in two weeks.
Local advertisements have a way of spoiling upcoming Pay-Per-View matches and, according to WrestlingNews.Co’s Paul Davis, it looks like a commercial for the Target Center has spoiled three WWE TLC 2019 matches.
The TLC Pay-Per-View will take place in Minneapolis on Dec. 15.
King Corbin and Roman Reigns will apparently continue their rivalry – which boiled over at Survivor Series – at TLC in a Tables Match. Even if that stipulation does not come to fruition, hopefully there will be a gimmicked match in place that allows both great athletes to destroy each other and end this long-term rivalry once and for all.
Meanwhile, Rusev and Bobby Lashley will face off to, hopefully, finish off their own heated rivalry. This should be a great match with plenty of emotion behind it, because while fans have disliked the storyline with Lana cheating on Rusev with Lashley, they have respected the work the performers are putting in.
However, the BIG match being advertised for TLC is a Women’s Tag Team Title Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match which would be the first-time ever Women’s Tag Title TLC match. Since the Women’s Tag Titles weren’t awarded until this year’s Elimination Chamber, I guess that makes WWE one-for-one.
The match will pit the champions Kairi Sane and Asuka against challengers Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, as the Raw Women’s Champion and her former TLC rival have made it clear that they want to add the Women’s Tag Titles to their list of silverware in WWE.
So far, Asuka and Sane have defended those titles successfully on multiple occasions after defeating Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross at Hell in a Cell. Even for Charlotte and Becky, a win over Sane and Asuka in a TLC match will be a difficult task.
Last year at TLC, Asuka, Becky, and Charlotte closed the show in a SmackDown Women’s Championship TLC match won by Asuka. So there will be plenty of opportunities for throwback moments at this year’s rumored TLC match, which should have a huge closing angle in the main event slot. And the inclusion of Sane only adds to the expected match quality.
