AEW Dynamite: Results, Grades, and Analysis for December 4, 2019

Christopher Daniels (3-2) vs. Pentagon Jr. (5-6)

Daniels hit a crossbody over the top rope onto Pentagon and Daniels tried to piledrive Pentagon on the ramp. Pentagon fought out and hit a backbody drop on Daniels, and then sent him back into the ring and hit a double stomp on Daniels.

Pentagon chopped Daniels and posed for the crowd. The crowd chanted “One more time!” and Pentagon wound up for a chop, and poked Daniels in the eyes.

Pentagon went for the Package Piledriver, but Daniels fought out, so Pentagon superkicked him. Pentagon kicked Daniels in the leg and started choking Daniels on the ropes. Daniels hit Pentagon with a flatliner, countering a springboard from Pentagon. Daniels kicked Pentagon in the face and then hit a capture suplex. Daniels hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a 2 count.

Pentagon ducked under a clothesline and hit a sling blade for a 2 count. Pentagon hit a backstabber for a 2 count. Both men ended up on the ramp, and Pentagon went for a jumping Canadian Destroyer off the middle rope onto Daniels, but Daniels blocked it.

Pentagon ran at Daniels, who was back in the ring, but Daniels hit him and went for the Arabian Moonsault, but Daniels slipped off the rope and crashed into the ramp.

Pentagon chopped Daniels and hit the ropes, so Daniels hit an uppercut and hit Angel’s Wings on Pentagon! Rey Fenix ran down to the ring and threw in Daniels’ mic stand, and Pentagon tried to use it, but Daniels countered and grabbed it himself. He debated using it but threw it to the side. As the ref was trying to get rid of it, Pentagon low blowed Daniels and hit the Package Piledriver for the 3.

Result: Pentagon Jr. (6-6)

Allie cut a promo saying that they were the agents of chaos, and that they were tired of seeing Cody’s face everywhere. They decided they were going to cut the head off the snake and take out Cody Rhodes. The Bunny, the Butcher, and the Blade still have to tell more story for their motivation, in my opinion, but this is a good start.
