Chris Jericho

Remember when Chris Jericho teamed with Kevin Owens in WWE and often scribed the names of any wrestler who crossed him onto the “List of Jericho”? If you enjoyed those segments that brightened many episodes of RAW in 2016, you should head over to YouTube once you’re done reading this and watch one of the many “List” compilations available on that site.

Jericho, on the other hand, is not living in 2016, apparently. As seen on this past Wednesday’s Dynamite, the current AEW World Champion instead introduced his shiny, new, and completely original “Lexicon of Le Champion” to run down the names of the wrestlers he would NOT face in his final TV match of 2019.

This list lexicon included such prestigious names as Cody, They Young Bucks, Papa Buck, Uncle Buck (no word if Jericho meant the John Candy or Mike Epps version), DDP, Paige, 2 Cold Scorpio, and Kenny from South Park with Jon Moxley’s name spliced in between. Then, as mentioned earlier, we got the verbal exchange with Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt.

I said this last week, but Jericho has excelled as the company’s top heel, bolstering the value of the AEW Title with each week while giving some shine to the guys who will, hopefully, carry the company long after he’s gone.
