WWE Rumors: Which match will main event TLC 2019?
WWE TLC 2019 still doesn’t have a single officially announced match on the card, but wrestling fans can make an educated guess on what most of the card will look like.
Although there have been no matches officially announced for WWE TLC 2019, the Target Center in Minneapolis has advertised three intriguing matchups. King Corbin and Roman Reigns will settle their score (finally…and likely with a stipulation), Rusev will finally get his hands on Bobby Lashley in the ring, and the Women’s Tag Team Titles will be involved in a TLC match for the first time ever.
Sounds great, right? On the surface, a Women’s Tag Title TLC match with Kairi Sane, Asuka, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair all involved would seem to be the favorite to main event, but it looks like another match is expected to close the show.
According to the Wrestling Observer News’s Dave Meltzer, via SEScoops.com’s Anutosh Bajpai, a rematch between Daniel Bryan and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt will likely be the main event of TLC.
There will be few complaints about a Universal Title match between Bryan and Wyatt, who are two of the most popular wrestlers in WWE and involved in SmackDown’s top feud, closing the show. And that’s especially true if the match quality jumps to another level from their first bout at Survivor Series. Taking away the red light and going forward with a character tweak for Bryan should certainly aid in that effort.
Personally, I’d love to see the Women’s Tag Titles main event TLC, especially after three of the women in the match were involved in an incredible TLC main event for the SmackDown Women’s Championship last year. But if it ends up being Bryan vs. Wyatt, that’s another fine main event. Both of them have done extremely well to build up their rivalry, though it’s one of the only feuds WWE has given much attention to after Survivor Series.
