Fire and Desire

In a time when most women’s tag team are thrown together with little plan. Fire and Desire have been a consistent duo in the Women’s Tag Team division.

Sonya Deville has done well in the ring on SmackDown. Her partner, Mandy Rose, is one of the easiest characters to dislike in WWE, which only makes the tag team of Fire and Desire more appealing.

In early 2019, both had a very good showing at the Elimination Chamber, and they have gotten better as the months go on. The challenge is they haven’t been able to be a part of many meaningful storylines on television. That could be for a few different reasons that fans aren’t privy to know with certainty.

There should come a point where WWE decides to see how strong of a tag team Fire and Desire are and give them an opportunity to run with the Women’s Tag Team Championships. With the Women’s Tag Team division comprised of mostly newly-created tag teams, there is value in giving the championships to an established tag team.

SmackDown is loaded with women’s talent who know how to enhance other wrestlers. A run with an unproven team like Fire and Desire, in a division where they can be protected, should help to elevate both of their careers.
