Christian

A fan favorite, Christian has lent his talents to WWE as a comedian and panelist, and he and Edge also have quite the awesome podcast. But none of that holds a candle to how good “Captain Charisma” was in that wrestling ring, especially when he returned to WWE for his second stint as a more mature performer.

Despite Vince McMahon’s apparent dislike for him (Blue Dot, anyone?), Christian was a two-time world champion in WWE and a Triple Crown winner. He accomplished almost everything there was to accomplish in the promotion, both as a singles wrestler and as a brilliant tag team wrestler with Edge. (He even won tag titles with Chris Jericho and Lance Storm.)

Christian is absolutely, 100-percent a Hall of Famer and one of the most gifted superstars of this generation. His comedic timing, promo skills, and ability to have good matches with anyone and in any setting transcend time. Christian is one of those guys whose matches will always strum up feelings of nostalgia, and it’s only a matter of time before Vince gives him the nod.

LayCool

Both Michelle McCool and Layla El should be in the WWE Hall of Fame as individuals, but since the company also inducts tag teams as their own act (hence why Hulk Hogan will now be in the HOF twice *barfs*), LayCool should be in as a unit.

LayCool’s influence can be seen to this day in the Women’s Tag Team Division, with Peyton Royce and Billie Kay generating the most comparisons to Layla and McCool as “The IIconics”. Their impact on WWE is profound, and they remain one of the most universally beloved tag teams of the past 10-20 years.

Together, Layla and McCool won the Divas Championship twice each and the WWE Women’s Championship twice apiece. So you can only imagine how much silverware they would have racked up from 2019 onward if the Women’s Tag Titles were available when they were wrestling.

LayCool were cornerstones of the march towards a true revolution in women’s wrestling, and they are one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history. Only a handful of teams have had their impact, which will begin to become more apparent in the coming decade.
