2. MJF Should Force Cody To Put His EVP Job On The Line

MJF has made Cody’s life hell ever since he turned on him at Full Gear. He cost him the AEW Championship, blindsided him with a paid attack from The Butcher and The Blade, and had his henchman, Wardlow, choke him out on live TV.

So, Cody is chomping at the bit to get his hands on MJF, no matter the cost. This means that MJF has all the power because Cody will agree to nearly anything just so he can have a match against his former best friend.

Realizing this, on AEW Dynamite, MJF said he would give Cody the match that he wants, but he is going to add his own stipulations before he fully accepts Cody’s challenge. MJF didn’t mention what those stipulations would be, but I think there is one specific stipulation that would make the most sense.

The stipulation should be that if Cody loses to MJF, he would have to resign as an Executive Vice President of AEW. Now, I know what you may be thinking: why would MJF care what Cody does for the company?

Well, with all the hatred between the two, MJF would probably believe that Cody would use his position of power to hold him down, so he wants to make sure Cody has no power at all. Also, MJF wants to see Cody suffer and already took away one thing he was passionate about: becoming AEW Champion, so why not take away the other?

Cody has not shied away from using his position as an EVP as part of a storyline before, so I think it would make sense to implement it into this storyline, as well. Also, this stipulation will provide an interesting conflict for Cody: Does he prioritize his love for the company or his hatred of MJF?

Other stipulations, to me, don’t really make much sense. MJF wouldn’t want to put his ring on the line nor would he want anything that Cody has, so this is the only stipulation I can think of where MJF would gain something and Cody would lose. That is, unless, MJF wants to make this bout for a newly revealed midcard title, but I think that is a bit of a stretch.
