Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders vs Seth Rollins and Authors of Pain

WWE has a rare opportunity on its hands. They have a six-person match fans haven’t seen and can make it a must see match. For all the criticism that WWE takes about rushing storylines and poor character development, they struck it rich with Seth Rollins and Authors of Pain.

Everything about their potential alliance is perfect for the traditional fan who remembers when a cowardly villain hides behind the two bigger “heaters”. To make any character work, it needs a rival. Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins will do wonders for each other.

The natural progression is that Owens fails to overcome the beatings he receives from AOP and Seth Rollins. He will needs back up to even the odds in his favor. That is when The Viking Raiders come down to the ring and assist Owens.

This massive six man tag team match should be the main event of the first Monday Night RAW of 2020. WWE likes pulling out the stops for the first RAW of the New Year. A match a fan haven’t seen before, and makes logical sense in the progression of the story can set the perfect pace for WWE.

The challenge will be, can WWE resist giving fans the match too early, and not allow the story time to develop. Depending on how you absorb WWE television, you could have little faith in them to wait four weeks to give fans this match.
