The Young Bucks

The Jackson brothers’ rivalry with Santana & Ortiz came to a head this past Wednesday on Dynamite, as the two teams battered each other in a Texas Street Fight for the right to challenge SoCal Uncensored for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

As expected from these two teams, The Young Bucks and Proud N’ Powerful emptied their movesets for the duration of the show’s main event. We saw a senton bomb through tables, an Indytaker on the entrance ramp, chair shots, trash can shots, superkicks into chairs that went into faces, and every highspot in between.

In the end, the Bucks scored the clean pin over their archrivals with a Meltzer Driver onto a pair of chairs, earning them their title shot for this coming Wednesday.

In recent weeks, this feature has extolled AEW for their restraint in pushing the likes of Kenny Omega, Cody, and the Bucks in a manner that would foster resentment among their fanbase.

Still, it’s only a matter of time before one of them gets their hands on some championship gold. Next week, we will see if the Bucks are the first to do so or if they will use their equity to further legitimize SCU’s maiden run atop the tag team division.
