3.) Shayna Baszler

After battling and defeating both Women’s Champions in a triple threat match at WWE Survivor Series 2019, it’s not too far fetched to foresee Shayna Baszler in the mix of favorites for the Women’s Royal Rumble. In that triple threat match, she choked Bayley out with the Kirifuda Clutch and delivered an unforgiving assault to Becky Lynch after the match.

It is quite lucid that Lynch and Baszler have some unfinished business to take care of. If fate serves them well, Baszler would have to lose the NXT Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley, win the Women’s Royal Rumble, and challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36.

However, there is one caveat: Vince McMahon was reportedly unhappy with the women’s triple threat main event match at WWE Survivor Series 2019, according to a report from WrestleVotes. This could be a strong sign that he is no longer invested in a feud between Baszler and Lynch and could probably scrap the idea altogether.

It sure does seem like that since Lynch has not addressed Shayna Baszler or their feud at all in the time since Survivor Series. Indirectly, she only addressed that she has one last debt to collect, which could possibly be referring to Asuka, Shayna Baszler, or Ronda Rousey, as our Kevin Parvizi elaborated on already.

Nonetheless, Baszler winning the Women’s Royal Rumble would not only give the WWE Universe a dream match between her and Lynch for WrestleMania 36 but also continue the momentum of NXT’s dominance in their brand war against Raw and SmackDown despite Survivor Series already coming to a close.

When NXT superstars are included in the Royal Rumble, they are usually not taken seriously as top candidates to win but Baszler is definitely a deviant from that common perception.
